Bergamo Airport to Milan: Bus, Taxi or Private Transfer.

Bergamo Orio al Serio airport is 50-55 km from Milan. The direct train does not exist yet (planned for late 2027): today the real options are buses to Milano Centrale, a taxi or a door-to-door private transfer. Here are the 2026 times and prices, and who each suits. Updated July 2026.

By bus: the budget way

Three companies link Orio to Milano Centrale: tickets from €5-8, frequent departures, about 50 minutes. The right option if you travel light. At peak times seats run out, and on arrival the last mile from the station to your hotel is still yours.

By train: not yet

The rail link between the airport and Bergamo (and on to Milan) is under construction, with opening planned for late 2027. Until then, anyone searching for "the Orio train" actually finds a bus.

By taxi: no official flat rate

From the rank outside the terminal the cost to Milan is typically €110-140: unlike Malpensa, Orio has no official flat rate, so you learn the price at the end of the ride.

By private transfer: door to door

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, the flight is tracked, and the fixed per-vehicle price is locked at booking and paid on arrival. From the aircraft door to your home or hotel door, in Milan or straight to the lakes and mountains.

How much is a taxi from Bergamo airport to Milan?

Unlike Malpensa, Orio al Serio has no official flat rate to Milan: from the taxi rank the typical metered cost is €110-140. Our private transfer has a fixed per-vehicle price you see and lock before confirming, with the arrivals-hall welcome included.

Buses from Orio: frequent, but only to the station

Terravision, Orioshuttle and Autostradale leave from the terminal forecourt for Milano Centrale, with tickets from €5-8. The limit is structural: they arrive at a station, not at your address, and at peak times the queue can stretch the real journey time.

Why a private transfer

A private chauffeur-driven car that starts in the Orio arrivals hall and ends at your door.

  • Fixed per-vehicle price, locked at booking
  • Name sign in arrivals, one single terminal
  • Flight tracking: low-cost delays are covered
  • Door to door: Milan, Lake Garda, Lake Como, Livigno
  • Pay on arrival, free cancellation up to 48 hours before
