Malpensa to Milan: Train, Taxi or Private Transfer.

Malpensa airport is about 50 km from central Milan. The real options are four: the Malpensa Express train, buses to Milano Centrale, the flat-rate taxi or a door-to-door private transfer. Here are the 2026 times and prices, and who each option suits. Updated July 2026.

By train: the Malpensa Express

It leaves from both terminals (T1 and T2 have stations) every 30 minutes per line: 37 minutes to Cadorna, about 52 to Centrale, €15 per person (€25 return). The most predictable option if your hotel is near one of the two stations. With luggage, kids or a late arrival, the last mile is still yours to solve.

By bus: the budget way

Shuttle buses link Malpensa to Milano Centrale for about €10, in 50-70 minutes depending on traffic. Cheap and frequent, but they still arrive at a station: from there you need the metro or a taxi to your hotel.

By taxi: the flat rate

The official rank taxi charges a €114 flat rate between Malpensa and central Milan (regional decree, unchanged as of July 2026). No booking: you queue at the exit. The price is per car, so for 3-4 people it already competes with the train.

By private transfer: door to door

Your driver is in the arrivals hall with a name sign, the flight is tracked, and the fixed per-vehicle price is the one you lock at booking. You pay on arrival. From the aircraft door to the hotel door, downtown or beyond Milan: the option with no unknowns.

How much is a taxi from Malpensa to Milan?

The official rank fare is a €114 flat rate between Malpensa and central Milan, day and night, luggage included. Outside the central perimeter the ride goes back to the meter. Our private transfer has a fixed per-vehicle price you see before confirming, with an arrivals-hall welcome and free cancellation up to 48 hours before.

Malpensa Express: schedules and limits

The Malpensa Express serves both terminals and runs from early morning until about midnight, every 30 minutes per line. The weak point is not the train but the last mile: from Cadorna or Centrale you still have to reach your hotel with the luggage, and at night the service stops.

Why a private transfer

A private chauffeur-driven car that starts where you actually land: the arrivals hall of your terminal.

  • Fixed per-vehicle price, tolls included, locked at booking
  • Name sign at T1 or T2 (easyJet operates from T2)
  • Flight tracking: if it is late, the pickup adjusts itself
  • Door to door to your exact address, even beyond Milan
  • Pay on arrival, free cancellation up to 48 hours before

Milan begins in the arrivals hall

After a long flight, the last thing you need is a queue with your luggage. Walk out, get in, arrive.
